 General Rules
  • The media lunch club strives to be a very friendly and informal organisation with very few rules and regulations:

  • The media lunch club is governed by Committee made up of the CEO and ten paid up Members.

  • The Committee is elected Bi-annually by the Membership on the number of votes cast for those Members wishing to stand as candidates for the Committee.

  • The Committee Meetings are Chaired by a Committee Member on a revolving basis elected at the commencement of each meeting.
 Membership Rules
  • Membership is open to all those engaged in the Creative, Commercial and Professional Communities in any area of The Media Industries, encompassing Film, Television, Music, Theatre, Publishing, New Technology (as applied to the Media)

  • The Membership Year is from 1st January to 31st December

  • The Annual Membership Fee (currently £25.00). Is due by December 31st for renewal of the following Membership Year.

  • The Annual Membership Fee is pro rated during the Membership Year for those becoming Members during a current Membership Year.

  • Funding Surplus: it is always the intention to use any surplus funds for the benefit of Members only. This takes the form of free or subsidised lunches / events and, in the past, tickets to a Gala Dinner, held bi annually.

  • At their absolute discretion, the committee reserves the right to reject a membership application or cancel any existing membership that it feels is in its view and after due consideration detrimental to the club or any member of it . Any such rejection or cancellation will be minuted at the committee meeting following such decision and the person in question shall be notified in writing by the chairman. In such circumstances, an existing member whose membership is cancelled shall be refunded an amount of their subscription proportionate to the remainder of the then current subscription year.
 Lunch Reservation & Payment Rules
  • Lunches are usually held on the Third Friday of each month.

  • Lunch dates may be changed due to speaker availability or such events as AFM, MIP, MIFED or Cannes having conflicting dates.

  • Reservations can be made by phone, fax, e-mail or by post. Tickets are not issued.

  • Reservations must be confirmed by the printed reply slip, to reach media the lunch club by the Wednesday preceding the Lunch.

  • Reservations CANNOT be accepted after 10.00 a.m. on the Wednesday preceding the Lunch. (This is the time we have to give the Restaurants numbers attending.)

  • Payment for all reservations must be made before the Lunch date. (The Restaurants have to be paid immediately after each Lunch)

  • Cancellations. Payments made can only be reimbursed or held in credit for a later Lunch or Event if the Cancellation is made prior to the cut off time of 10.00.a.m. on the Wednesday before to the lunch.

  • Substitutions. A substitute may replace the person booked providing the media lunch club is informed by the day before the Lunch.

 Evening Event Reservation & Payment Rules
  • Entry to these events is by Ticket only.

  • Tickets will only be issued on receipt of payment in full.

  • Reservations can be made by phone, fax, e-mail or by post.

  • Reservations must be confirmed by the printed reply slip, to reach the media lunch club by the time stipulated on the Invitation-Reply Slip.

  • Reservations CANNOT be accepted after the time stipulated on the event Invitation-Reply slip.

  • Cancellations. Payments made can only be reimbursed or held in credit for a later Lunch or Event if the Cancellation is made prior to the stipulated cut off time.

  • Substitutions. A substitute may replace the person booked providing the media lunch club is informed by the day before the event.
